April Young Bennett is Associate Director at Utah Science Technology & Research. She is also an activist fighting for gender equality on a wide range of fronts, including her popular Religious Feminism Podcast. In writing her powerful book, Ask a Suffragist: Stories and Wisdom from Americas First Feminists (the first in a series of books on the historical women's right leaders) she sought to explore what enabled these pioneers to succeed against great odds, and how that could inform her own activism.
