Vivian Clecak, Chief Executive Officer of Human Options discusses the services her organization provide to women and families suffering from domestic violence. Human Options aims to break the cycle of domestic violence through the use of community education programs for youth, violence prevention training programs for businesses, and medical and criminal justice professionals to motivate building a safer community. Maureen Carasiti, Director of WorkFirst joins our show to explain how her organization is helping individuals with disabilities get and keep paid employment or operate their own business. WorkFirst is a division of Easter Seals Southern California and creates Customized Employment to assist individuals in securing a job tailored to their unique talents.
